At Grace Hills, our mission is to:

Connect with God

Care for One Another

Engage the World

Grow in Christ

Our plan for regathering:

As we make plans to start regathering safely, our church council, staff, and deacons have collaborated and developed a tentative plan. It is tentative, of course, because we don't know what will happen with the COVID-19 virus in the coming weeks, but we are hopeful that we will be able to gather together for worship soon.

We will start our phased regathering with our worship services in the coming weeks. After streamed services only on May 24, we plan to offer drive-in services on May 31 and June 7. If all continues to go well, we will move to outdoor worship in our front yard on June 14.

At this time, we are holding off on other forms of physically gathering, such as Sunday School, fellowship meals, and other gatherings at the church. We also will hold off on offering nursery and childcare during worship for the time being; families are encouraged to worship together as we regather for drive-in and outdoor services.

We will continue to stream all services (either live or recorded) on our Facebook page and church website. If you do not feel comfortable or safe attending in person, we hope you will continue to join us online. Alternatively, you can request a CD recording of our services.

As we gather, we highly encourage everyone to bring and use their own mask. We will have limited numbers of disposable masks for attendees.

In compliance with safety guidelines from the CDC and the governor's office, we will observe physical distancing as we regather. Unless seated with members of your household, we will request you to sit at least six feet apart (we will have marked distances). We also will not be passing offering plates or communion plates. For drive-in services, we will insist that individuals not exit their cars or get close physically to other worshipers.

As we said above, all of these plans are dependent on continued improvement in COVID numbers and continued safety. If things change, we will alter these plans to ensure the safety of our congregation and community.

Please continue to be in prayer for Grace Hills as we continue adapting and creatively entering worship together over the coming weeks. And, as always, continue to pray for the virus' spread to dissipate and for safe and healthy outcomes for everyone affected by it.
